CoEd High School Bass Fishing
Game Summaries & Headlines.
The Vermont Principal's Association (VPA) has approved a preliminary "exhibition" season for competitive Bass Fishing as a high school level sport in Vermont beginning in the Fall of 2018. Windsor High School, at the urging of parents and students who know of a similar New Hampshire program, has asked to join in this inaugural season. A coach for the team is being lined up and details will be available over the summer. Students who are interested should register for it using Form ReLeaf, just like any other sport beginning on May 29th.
This is a co-ed sport, and no specific experience is required. The addition of this sport has the full endorsement and support of several Bass fishermen associations and clubs, and the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department.
Students currently in grades 8-11 interested in finding out more about it are encouraged to attend a brief informational meeting in Room 322 (Mr. Tufts room) on Friday, June 1st during advisory.
