Sports Update -

Congratulations to the Track team on their performance in the rain yesterday in Brattleboro.  Morgan McKeen and Angelina Bigwood finished 4th & 6th in the 1500, Owen Abrahamsen took 4th in the 110 hurdles, and Eli Milligan and Owen both ran well in the 200m dash. Jacob Underhill was the top performing freshmen in the Shot Put, finishing 9th overall.   Nice job in the first high school track meet of your careers.   Among the veterans, Vincent Moeykens took 4th in the 100m and 200m, and Terry Ziccardi took 3rd in discus and 5th in the Javelin.  In total, nine athletes qualified for the state meet in at least one event yesterday - a great start!

The Varsity Baseball and Softball games were postponed by the weather yesterday and will be made up in mid-May.

Today, the JV Softball and Baseball teams will host Brattleboro in games beginning at 4:30 pm.  Tomorrow, the Varsity teams are back in action, with the Softball team traveling to Fair Haven for an 11:00 am game, bus departing at 8:30 am, while the Baseball team hosts Mill River at 11:00 am.

Monday, the JV Baseball & JV Softball teams head to Rutland for games at 4:00, bus departs 2:00.   The JV Girls Lacrosse team is also tentatively scheduled to play at Hartford Monday evening at 6:00 pm.

Next Tuesday's home track meet will kick off at 3:00 pm.  A few more volunteers are still needed. Contact Mr. Tufts if you are available to help.

Remember to check the website for updates throughout the vacation week, and enjoy the time off!
